The project will be constructed using a staged approach.
The first stage will involve works within the southern section of the project area only (Muswellbrook Solar Farm South), with all construction access from Muscle Creek Road.
No construction works will occur in the northern section of the site (Muswellbrook Solar Farm North), and the access point on Sandy Creek Road will not be used until a later stage, after the Southern section has been completed. Some early works will begin from now until mid to late April in preparation for construction. These activities will include:
• Temporary fencing installation
• Installation of a temporary site office and Portaloo’s
• Removal of existing fences
• Pre-clearing vegetation survey
• Soil testing
All access to the site will be via Muscle Creek Road, and activities will occur during normal working hours.
Construction is expected to commence in mid to late April, with activities including:
• Tree and vegetation clearing
• Mobilisation of equipment and personnel to site
• Establishment of laydown areas and site compounds
• Civil works
